Information we collect
When you contact or book with us, we may receive your name, phone number, email address, vehicle make, model and registration number, details of the requested service, and information you choose to put in your message. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in the free-text field.
Why we use your information
We use this information to respond to enquiries, provide estimates, discuss work on your vehicle, arrange appointments, keep relevant service records, and meet any applicable legal requirements. Our lawful bases may include steps taken at your request before entering a contract, performance of a contract, legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business, and legal obligations where applicable. We do not use booking information to send unrelated marketing without an appropriate lawful basis.
Booking form and third-party providers
Our booking form uses FormSubmit, a third-party form delivery service. Your form submission is sent to FormSubmit for delivery to our workshop email address. Please review FormSubmit's own privacy information before sending a request. Our site is hosted on Netlify, which may process technical request information as part of hosting and security. Contacting us through WhatsApp may involve processing by WhatsApp. Embedded Google Maps and externally hosted Google Fonts may also involve requests to Google, including technical information such as your IP address, when those features load.
Sharing and international processing
We share information only where reasonably necessary to handle enquiries, provide services, use our service providers or comply with law. The third-party services named above may process information outside the UK. Their terms and safeguards should be reviewed as part of our ongoing data-protection responsibilities.
Keeping information secure and how long we retain it
We take reasonable steps to limit access to customer information and retain it only for as long as needed for the purpose collected, including any accounting, warranty, dispute-resolution or legal obligations. Retention periods depend on the kind of record and the applicable requirements.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of personal data, restriction of processing, or to object to processing. You can contact us using the details above. You can also raise a concern with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Cookies and external content
We have not built an advertising or analytics tracking system into this version of the website. Third-party services, such as embedded Google Maps, may have their own storage or cookie practices. We will review these practices when site features change. Where consent is legally required for non-essential storage, it must be obtained before such storage is set.
Updates
We may update this policy if our services, providers or legal responsibilities change. The current version will be published on this page.
Business owner review required: Before publishing, confirm that these descriptions match your real data-handling procedures, particularly retention, provider agreements and any analytics or marketing tools you use.
